What we collect when you use Xonera, why we need it, who helps us run it, and the choices you have.
What we will never do
- Sell your personal data, or rent it to anyone.
- Show you advertising, or build an advertising profile of you.
- Use your notes, uploads or conversations to train our own AI models.
- Read your mood check-ins or worry notes. They never reach us.
- Keep your data after you delete your account, beyond what the law requires.
Who we are
Xonera is an AI learning partner run by Xonera Inc., a Delaware corporation with its registered office at 251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmington, Delaware 19808, United States. This policy covers the Xonera website and app at xonera.xyz: what we collect, why, who helps us, and what you can do about it. When it says "we" or "us", it means Xonera.
What we collect, and why
We collect what it takes to teach you and keep Xonera running. Nothing on this list is used for anything other than the reason next to it.
| What | For example | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address; optionally your name, username, photo and bio | To create your account, sign you in and contact you |
| Preferences | Your role (student, teacher and so on), lesson settings, language, time zone, notification choices | To shape lessons and reminders around you |
| What you learn with | Topics you ask about, files, links, YouTube videos and text you add, your notes and your chats with your learning partner | To build your lessons and answer your questions |
| What Xonera makes for you | Lessons, podcasts, mind maps, quizzes, flashcards, and your answers to them | So your Mindspace is there when you come back |
| Revision history | Which concepts are due and how well you recalled them | To bring each concept back just before you would forget it |
| Focus sessions | Start and end time, length, and the optional intention and recap you type | So your focus time follows you across devices |
| Billing | Your plan, subscription status and invoices. Card details stay with Stripe; we never see your card number | To charge for paid plans and send receipts |
| Usage and device | Pages and features used, study time, IP address, browser and device type | To keep Xonera working, secure and improving |
| Diagnostics | Error reports, and recordings of how the page behaved for some sessions and for sessions with an error, which can include text on screen | To find and fix bugs |
| Messages to us | Support emails and bug reports, including screenshots you attach | To help you and fix what you report |
Your wellbeing data
Our wellbeing features are designed to collect as little personal data as possible.
- Mood check-ins and worry notes are stored locally in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers. We cannot access, use or restore them. Clearing your browser data deletes them permanently.
- Breathing preferences are stored locally in your browser.
- Focus sessions are synced to your account so that your focus history is available across devices. This includes the start and end time, the duration, and any intention or recap you enter.
Locally stored wellbeing data is kept separately for each account and is not shown to other users who sign in to Xonera on the same browser.
How AI uses your content
To teach you, Xonera sends your question, the sources you added and your conversation to the AI providers below, and shows you what comes back. We use them under their terms for business customers. We do not use your content to train our own models.
Before it is processed, what you write and upload is checked by automated moderation, and harmful requests can be blocked. AI can still get things wrong, which our Terms of Use explain.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open, so your Mindspace is waiting when you come back.
When you delete your account, you have 30 days to change your mind and restore it. After that we permanently delete your account and what you created. We keep payment records for as long as tax law requires, and our providers' logs and backups expire on their own schedules.
Your choices and rights
| You want to | How |
|---|---|
| Fix your details | Settings, Account |
| Stop reminder emails | Settings, Notifications |
| Delete your account | Settings, Account, then Delete account |
| Get a copy of your data | Email hello@xonera.xyz from your account's address |

We answer every request within 30 days. You can also nominate someone to act for you, and if you are not satisfied with our answer, complain to your data protection authority (in India, the Data Protection Board of India).
Students under 18
You must be at least 13 to use Xonera, and if you are under 18, only with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not use the data of anyone under 18 for advertising or profiling. If we learn we hold a child's data without that consent, we delete it. Parents and guardians can reach us at hello@xonera.xyz.
Keeping it safe
Data travels encrypted, only the people who need production access have it, and card details never touch our servers. No system is perfect, so if you think someone has got into your account, change your password and tell us at hello@xonera.xyz.

Our Grievance Officer is Akanksha Thakur. Write to hello@xonera.xyz, or to Xonera Inc., 251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmington, Delaware 19808, United States.
